June 5, 2026 Update

A brief update from Protect Mud Bay Cliffs on the status of PMBC’s appeal of the city’s decision that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is not required for the proposed Woods at Viewcrest subdivision.

At the end of the business day on Friday, June 5, Examiner Rice issued her 208-page decision, which can be viewed HERE. Examiner Rice approved the Woods at Viewcrest consolidated permit with conditions and denied PMBC’s SEPA MDNS appeal.

It will take awhile for PMBC to digest Examiner Rice’s 208-page decision, but we wanted to inform our supporters that the decision has been issued. Rachel Showalter plans to publish an article for the Bellingham Herald, perhaps as early as tomorrow, June 6.

As always, thank you for your support,

Protect Mud Bay Cliffs
