City Extends Deadline for Developer to Respond to Fourth RFI

On August 14th, driven by the community’s submitted comments, the city issued a fourth Request for Information (RFI), requiring the developer to address substantive concerns about their environmentally insensitive subdivision application.

As the 120-day deadline to respond to that fourth RFI neared last week, the developer requested — and the city approved — a 30-day extension to the deadline. Previously, the developer requested — and the city approved — three separate deadline extensions to respond to earlier RFIs. PMBC received a copy of the city’s latest approval, which has not yet been posted on the city’s project webpage.

We can now expect the developer’s response on or before the new 150-day deadline of January 12, 2025 — or, if additional extensions are granted, sometime after that.

Based on this activity, it appears the developers are proceeding with their subdivision application on Mud Bay Cliffs. It seems likely we will need to again respond to updated and new application materials, and so we may need to again work with technical experts and PMBC’s land-use attorney. PMBC supporters’ generous donations have made a significant impact to date, and are greatly appreciated; we hope we can rely on continued financial support when we respond to the developer’s upcoming moves.

As ever, you can rely on PMBC to update you as soon as we become aware of any actions taken by the city or the developer.

Thank you for helping Protect Mud Bay Cliffs!
